Summary:   Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
  • Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
  • Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
  • Removes trash and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Helps load and unload supplies and product.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary:   Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service periods.
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
  • Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings.
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Summary:   Delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain. Ensures the accurate execution of all events during his/her shift. May drive a catering delivery truck. Sets up and serves at functions; cleans event area during and after events; breaks down the setup and leaves the area neat and clean; returns leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
  • Logs and maintains food temperatures.
  • Arranges tables and decorations.
  • Arranges buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to standards.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Thoroughly cleans location after event is completed.
  • Returns food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
  • Distributes and collects customer comment cards for catered functions.
  • Stocks, cleans and maintains catering facility and equipment.
  • Ensures guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of complete menu and products on hand.
  • Maintains clean and safe work environment.
  • Follows safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.

Summary:   Prepares and serves beverages to guests in bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
  • Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
  • Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secures bank.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.

Summary: Ensures that all meeting rooms and public areas of the facility are maintained to the highest level of professional appearance and that all meeting requirements are met prior to the meeting start time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Moves and places tables, chairs, and supply linens for each event in the conference center.
  • Supplies and sets up items not included in the room (flipcharts, whiteboard, screens, etc.).
  • Assists with conference room readiness to determine that the rooms are equipped with proper materials (pens, pads, handouts, event packages, etc.).
  • Refreshes rooms between meetings.
  • Provides prompt and detailed service as scheduled by management or by request.
  • Maintains consistent phone and email communication with clients, guests, team members, and support departments.
  • Offers assistance to clients and visitors throughout the building, including providing directions and escorting to conference rooms.
  • Communicates with co-workers and service partners to ensure updated information is shared.
  • Provides recommendations to planning managers regarding appropriate room setups. Collaborates to identify solutions for unique setup challenges.
  • Conducts weekly site inspections of meeting rooms and contacts the necessary department if items require service.
  • Assists with basic audio visual equipment, as needed.
  • Maintains inventory of all supplies and notifies supervisors when additional supplies are needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service or houseman/porter experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

We are hiring immediately for a Meeting and Event Planning Intern position to start in June.

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, typically 10am – 6pm, nights as needed.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Summary:  The Meeting / Event Planning Intern will work closely with the Conference Planner and Sales Team at The Warren Conference Center and Inn to learn the intricacies of planning from both a sales and operations standpoint.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with catering clients to coordinate the details of their events including but not limited to menu selections, timelines, AV, set up, and design.  Additionally, in this role you will learn how to properly set up and execute events following the specific timeline and guidelines for each event. In order to thrive in this position, you must be able to provide great customer service to clients and guests, have a keen eye for attention to detail, be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications for Meeting /Event Planning Internship:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Customer service experience/knowledge

  • Negotiation: This will enable the intern to undergo the contract portion of the event, fine tuning the details of the event; the blue print.
  • Contracts: Discussing the terms of the contract, the services being provided, solidifying dates and deadlines, necessary staffing, policies of the event/cancelations, parking, etc.
  • Closing: Examining the financials, collecting payment, etc…
  • Follow Up: This will enable the planner to understand what the strengths were from the event and anything necessary for improvement; Keeps an ongoing relationship with the client(s).

We are hiring immediately for 3 Food & Beverage Operations/Conference Services Interns to start in June.

Schedule: 25 hours per week, varied days and hours.

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour.

Summary: The Operations Intern will work closely with the Operations Management Team at The Warren Conference Center and Inn to learn the intricacies of operating a full service conference center from an operations standpoint.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with conference center clients to execute the details of their events including but not limited to room set ups, AV needs, Banquet Event Orders, food service – both Conferee Dining and other Catered Events.  Additionally, in this role you will learn how to properly set up and execute events following the specific timeline and guidelines for each event. In order to thrive in this position, you must be able to provide great customer service to clients and guests, have a keen eye for attention to detail, be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast passed work environment.

 Qualifications for Operations Internship:

Summary: The Hotel Operations Intern will work closely with the Rooms Department Team at The Warren Conference Center and Inn to learn the intricacies of the operations of a unique, quaint Inn from both a sales and operations standpoint.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with all positions within the Inn.  Learning functions of Guest Services, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Night Audit.   Additionally, in this role you will learn how to properly set up and manage inventory, set rates and fill vacancies.   In order to thrive in this position, you must be able to provide great customer service to clients and guests, have a keen eye for attention to detail, be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast passed work environment.
