Positions Available:

Social Catering Sales  Manager 

The Social Catering Sales Manager will oversee the sales operations related to our wedding and social function services, working closely with clients to understand their vision and provide tailored solutions that meet their needs. This role involves managing the sales process from initial inquiry through contract negotiation, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share in the wedding industry.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through the sales process and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients to understand their wedding vision, budget, and requirements, and present customized packages and solutions.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions align with company policies and client expectations.
  • Provide day of event coordination where needed.  
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute promotional campaigns, events, and partnerships that drive lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities to stay ahead of market demands.
  • Manage and analyze sales metrics, preparing reports to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key vendors and industry professionals to enhance service offerings and create additional sales opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in the wedding or events industry.
  • Strong understanding of wedding planning, trends, and client expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and partners.
  • Proficient in sales and CRM software, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Bartender  (Part Time) 

Summary:   Prepares and serves beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
  • Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
  • Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secures bank.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
  • Washes and sterilizes stemware.

Conference Service Attendant (Part Time)

Summary: Ensures that all meeting rooms and public areas of the facility are maintained to the highest level of professional appearance and that all meeting requirements are met prior to the meeting start time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Moves and places tables, chairs, and supply linens for each event in the conference center.
  • Supplies and sets up items not included in the room (flipcharts, whiteboard, screens, etc.).
  • Assists with conference room readiness to determine that the rooms are equipped with proper materials (pens, pads, handouts, event packages, etc.).
  • Refreshes rooms between meetings.
  • Provides prompt and detailed service as scheduled by management or by request.
  • Maintains consistent phone and email communication with clients, guests, team members, and support departments.
  • Offers assistance to clients and visitors throughout the building, including providing directions and escorting to conference rooms.
  • Communicates with co-workers and service partners to ensure updated information is shared.
  • Provides recommendations to planning managers regarding appropriate room setups. Collaborates to identify solutions for unique setup challenges.
  • Conducts weekly site inspections of meeting rooms and contacts the necessary department if items require service.
  • Assists with basic audio visual equipment, as needed.
  • Maintains inventory of all supplies and notifies supervisors when additional supplies are needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service or houseman/porter experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Catering Attendant (Part Time)

Summary:   Delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain. Ensures the accurate execution of all events during his/her shift. May drive a catering delivery truck. Sets up and serves at functions; cleans event area during and after events; breaks down the setup and leaves the area neat and clean; returns leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
  • Logs and maintains food temperatures.
  • Arranges tables and decorations.
  • Arranges buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to standards.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Thoroughly cleans location after event is completed.
  • Returns food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
  • Distributes and collects customer comment cards for catered functions.
  • Stocks, cleans and maintains catering facility and equipment.
  • Ensures guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of complete menu and products on hand.
  • Maintains clean and safe work environment.
  • Follows safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

General Labor/ Maintenance  (FULL-TIME)

Summary: Assists with the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and smooth operation of the building and campus. Repairs, maintains and assists in the installation of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
  • Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
  • Performs minor repairs to doors, fixtures and furniture.
  • Records information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
  • Makes adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Regularly replaces HVAC air filters.
  • Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Moves heavy furniture, equipment and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks.
  • Mows and trims lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers; clears debris.
  • Notifies managers about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Removes snow from sidewalks, driveways and parking areas.
  • Sets up, arranges and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.
  • Ad-hoc cleaning of building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming; gathers and empties trash; services, cleans and supplies restrooms.
  • Drives vehicles required to perform work.

Guest Service Agent (PART TIME)

  • Schedule: Part time schedule. 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm or 11:00 pm to 7:00 am; days may vary. Weekends and holidays are required. More details upon interview.

Summary: Checks guests in and/or out of the hotel. Resolves guest challenges throughout their stay. Promotes hotel services, amenities and upsells products to the guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completes the registration/check-in process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system confirming pertinent information.
  • Ensures rooms and services are correctly accounted for within guest statement. Properly accounts for services provided by the hotel.
  • Assists guests with check out payments or charges. Accepts and records vouchers, credit, traveler’s checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Balances and drops receipts according to accounting specifications.
  • Provides guests with information about the facility, services, and amenities.
  • Receives special requests from guests, and responds appropriately or forwards requests to appropriate team members for decisions and actions.
  • Promptly answers the telephone and email inquiries. Retrieves and forwards messages to/from guests. Retrieves mail, packages and facsimiles or other special items for customers as requested.
  • Fields and resolves guest complaints or escalate for resolution to appropriate department.
  • Assists guests in emergency situations.
  • Maintains adequate supplies and functional equipment at the Front Desk.
  • Performs any special assignment deemed by the GM, Guest Services manager, or Manager on Duty.

Summary: Performs light cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including hotels, restaurants and hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

  • Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors.
  • Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies.
  • Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery.
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings.
  • Cleans metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Empties and cleans trash containers.
  • Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner.
  • Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers.
  • Wipes down glass surfaces.
  • Makes up beds and changes linens as required.
  • Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
  • Responds to guest queries and requests.
  • Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
